Main Objectives The VICI Project has as main goal the conception and realization of a demonstrator which allows a user the possibility of interrogating objects in his environment to get useful numeric data. It will use the augmented reality with multimodal interactions. The VICI Demonstrator will work with visual markers used for optical tracking on the world. The visual markers will help to identify static elements of a scene or particular moving elements. They also can be used for interaction purposes. Thanks to the tracking data, the virtual information will be anchored to real objects, which will give an improved immersion feeling, thus reducing the gap between real and virtual world. Several interaction modalities (voice, gesture) will allow the user to be not only visitor of this world, but also actor of it. Technological objectives - Integration of the different interaction modalities for the navigation
- annotation and exchange of information between users
- synchronisation of the display of real and virtual information
- Integration of research, indexation, information's filtering and annotating methods
